BIOGRAPHY

Anett Georgi is a Senior Scientist at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, UFZ in Leipzig, Germany, where she leads the Group Advanced Adsorption and Oxidation Processes within the Department of Technical Biogeochemistry. Her research focuses on adsorptive, catalytic, and advanced oxidation processes for removing organic contaminants from water.

Anett has extensive experience in applied water treatment research at laboratory and pilot scale, focusing particularly on innovative materials and processes for removing and degrading PFAS and other persistent organic contaminants.
