Martijn Veggel is a researcher and project manager in the Water Treatment & Resource Recovery team at KWR. His expertise centres on removing and treating emerging contaminants in drinking water systems, with a primary focus on PFAS occurrence, treatment, and destruction.

Martijn leads applied research projects for drinking water utilities, industrial partners, and research institutes, translating scientific findings into practical solutions. His technical scope encompasses activated carbon application, filtration systems, and resource recovery from residual streams, addressing the full cycle from contaminant removal to process optimisation.
